From rough ground to a lush, even lawn. We clear, grade, power-rake, seed and roll every new lawn with specialist machinery, so you know exactly what goes into it.
We believe it's best that our customers know every step we take to get a new lawn right. This project was a newly built house, carefully designed to keep the surrounding trees and the natural, undulating features of the ground intact.
Our job was to landscape the areas around the house — without taking away from the garden's natural beauty.
Here's what's going on in the photos, step by step. Click any photo to see it larger.

We remove the large debris and grade the ground using a small excavator with a rake attachment. We also have a large excavator and rake, but with the trees and confined spaces here the smaller machine was the right choice. All debris is loaded into a dumper and taken away or reused on site.

Once the excavator work is done, a tractor and Blec power rake picks smaller stones from the ground and rows them up, finely grading and levelling as it goes. The Bobcat and landscape rake then lift the rows and any remaining debris, and a final hand rake leaves a perfect seed bed.

The final step is seeding with a Blec Cultipac seeder — a compact machine that broadcasts seed evenly from its overhead hopper, then presses it into the ground with dimpled rollers, all in one pass. Fertiliser is essential on any new house or development for good growth and healthy grass.
Expect your new lawn to be established within two to four weeks.
A little slower, but with the upside of a reduced chance of weeds at this time of year.
All of these steps can only be done in dry weather for the best results. That's why we've invested in some of the best machinery on the landscaping market — so when good weather arrives, we can look after our customers quickly and to an extremely high standard.
